The Butler’s Pantry corner shop becomes Iconic

The Butler’s Pantry Monkstown is virtually a new shop but at the same address, following a €200,000 investment.
Monkstown Shop Front What was fondly referred to as the corner shop has now become a landmark for southsiders travelling ‘the lower road’ to Blackrock and beyond. The Butler’s Pantry will continue to serve the hungry, discerning southsiders 12 hours a day and now 7 days a week from this extended retail space just bursting with today’s seasonal foods to take home, heat and eat.

Patrick Power Design Associates, who specialise in Architectural Interior Design and Project Management Practice led the design and management of this project. It has taken on a contemporary cube-like effect from the exterior and a warm, bright, inviting shopping space in the interior.

The project began when The Butlers Pantry moved their bakery from Temple Hill to their state of the art kitchens in Bray. The brief was to review the existing retail premises and the redundant bakery space to maximise the entire unit to ensure the ultimate shopping experience for discerning customers.  Together with CJ Construction they managed and delivered the brief in the record time of 6 weeks.

The final outcome resulted in a larger shop floor space, a brighter, inviting frontage and interior and dedicated space at the rear for consultation with clients regarding Events. The Butler’s Pantry recently launched Events, a new division specifically dedicated to catering, events, parties and corporate entertainment.  This will also be located at The Butler’s Pantry Monkstown.

Investment and refurbishment is second nature to The Butler’s Pantry. 2007 saw the opening of Greystones and Wicklow shops, 2008 saw refurbishment of Donnybrook and Temple Hill. 2009 will see two new shops opening as well as refurbishment in two of the current locations. Despite the caution in the current climate The Butler’s Pantry will continue to expand in Dublin and beyond in the planned and specialised way it has done since 2000. With a specialised project team at the ready and a winning formula for design, product and customer service, a long list of accolades The Butler’s Pantry are determined to ‘ride through this economic storm’.
